Nature at Balda Canyon

While Martvili Canyon is the most popular of the canyons along the Abashistkali River, Balda Canyon is in no way inferior to its more famous cousin. At 1,400 meters in length, it is an excellent recreation and swimming destination for those who would love to enjoy their time and be surrounded by beautiful nature. Balda Canyon is also a popular picnic and fishing destination. It is often visited by kayakers as well.

While Balda Canyon is located quite close to the village of Meore Balda where you can spend a night in a guesthouse, it is also possible to camp in the canyon.

When to Visit Balda Canyon

You can visit the canyon at any time of the year. However, it is best to come between spring and autumn if you want to do more than just enjoy the view, such as fishing, swimming, or kayaking.
