Didighalish Lake (meaning “Grand Gorge Lake'') is in Chkhorotsqu Municipality, at the southern foot of the Caucasus Mountains.
A small glacier-fed lake whose vibrant blue and its position between rocky mountains really does make it look like a jewel in a crown, Didighalish Lake is surrounded by alpine meadows, colourful wildflowers, an ancient boxwood forest, and the towering mountains.
Didighalish Lake is 2,900 meters above sea level: quite literally above the mists. In the skies overhead, you may catch sight of hawks, eagles, and other birds of prey, while the marvelous sounds of Caucasian snowcocks (Tetraogallus caucasicus) may be heard from their hiding places among the cracks in the cliffs.
The beauty of the wilderness around Egrisi Range is beyond comparison. If you have already visited Tobavarchkhili Lake, you will have had a taste of this pristine natural beauty.
Close by are other alpine lakes of varying beauty, size, and color, including Kaliashi Lake, Tsakartskali Lake, Lukumurash Lake, Okare Lake, and Okhoje Lake.
