The twenty-eight-seater gondolas take about fifteen minutes to cover the 2,586 meter journey from Batumi up to Anuria Mountain, allowing you to take in a dizzying panorama of Batumi, the Black Sea, and the mountains that shelter the city.
At the end of your journey, you’ll find the Argo Cultural & Entertainment Complex, which is modeled after the historic Argo ship and contains shops, cafes, and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal of Georgian food and wine accompanied by a spectacular view.
In the summer, from noon to 14:00 every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, there are performances of classical music played in Argo. In the evenings from 8:00 pm, performances of Georgian dance and polyphonic music are also on offer. Throughout the summer months, masterclasses for dancing and martial arts can also be enjoyed.
The Argo Cultural & Entertainment Complex also allows you to experience the unique Georgian alphabet. You’ll be able to write any Georgian word in its Latin lette equivalent at the interactive photo stand on site.
So, when you’re next in Batumi, why not take in a bird’s eye view and experience the Argo Cultural & Entertainment Complex at the same time?
