The botanical garden is located in the Khulo municipality, at an altitude of 1960 meters above sea level, on the southern slope of the Ajara-Trialeti ridge.
115 km from Batumi, on almost 10 hectares of diverse alpine, native species of subalpine plants are represented - 50 wild families, 111 genera, and 161 species of plants and habitats.
The Alpine Botanical Garden is divided into 15 parts - mountain rivers, lakes, swamps, rocky ecotopes, picnic, and camping areas. Visit the 4,000 square meters unique Alpine garden arranged by Georgian specialists and the Munich Botanical Garden’s gardener.
Only in the Goderdzi alpine area can you taste wild honey made in Jara - Ajarian traditional beehive made of the whole tree trunk, and get acquainted with the unique production tradition.
The best time to visit the botanical garden is from mid-May to mid-October. During the rest of the year, it is covered with impassable snow.
