Paragliding in Kvariati

Location

Kvariati is a resort on the Black Sea, where the mountains and the sea meet. The take-off point is 314 meters above sea level, and there is a three-kilometer-long road from the center of Kvariati to the landing point near the shore.

The flight time is 15 to 20 minutes.

Season

The best season for paragliding in Kvariati is from early May until late October.

Who Can Fly?

Minimum weight: 30 kg

Maximum weight: 220 kg

People with disabilities can go paragliding, but minors can only fly with written parental consent.

Safety

You will fly with a certified pilot who has a tandem-pilot certification from the Paragliding School of Georgia.

During the flight, the pilot and the passenger must wear a helmet, close-toed shoes, and sunglasses. The pilot’s chair is equipped with a proper parachute. You should take a light jacket with you during the summer, but something warmer during the other seasons. If necessary, the pilots will provide you with clothes. For an unforgettable adventure, the pilot can record your flight with a GoPro camera.

Before the tandem flight, the pilot will provide important instructions.
