At night time with the right lighting, the Sairme Pillars resemble magical towers floating in the clouds. This sight formed as a result of natural processes over the millennia and can also be seen from the main road going from Racha to Lechkhhumi regions.

The easy 2.5-kilometer, walking path to the Sairme Pillars begins from the main road where you can find an information board. Don’t worry about getting lost in the woods, there are signs along the way to guide you. It takes around 3 hours in total, to complete this spectacular out and back trail.

The path passes around 200 meters of the pillars, where you can also see the ruins of the ancient St. George Church, from above. People once lived below the Sairme Pillars, but now, however, only apple orchards remain.

The shortest way to get to the path leading to the Sairme Pillars is from Ambrolauri Town in Racha. If you are planning to go there from Tbilisi, you can take a minibus heading towards Tchrebalo Village from Okriba Station or from Kutaisi to Tsageri.
