It is not only the powerful Ushba Waterfall you will see here, but three waterfalls, the largest of which gets its water directly from the Ushba Glacier.
The area around the falls is dense with fir forests and rolling hills, allowing you to find complete serenity amidst its untouched beauty.
In winter, everything on Ushba is covered with snow and the place is nearly completely inaccessible. In the summer, however, you can walk to the base of the waterfall, which is three kilometres from the paved road. Climbing up to the top of the waterfall should be attempted only by well-prepared mountain climbers, because the path is quite steep.
Another difficulty hikers may encounter is crossing the river, after which the hike gets comparatively easier and follows a walking path. When you do get to the top of the waterfall, an exceptional sight will spread out before your eyes: a view of Svaneti with its fairy-tale towers and natural monuments that is sure to exceed even the loftiest of your expectations.
