What is There to See at Ushba Waterfall?

It is not only the powerful Ushba Waterfall you will see here, but three waterfalls, that get their water directly from the Ushba Glacier. The largest among them falls between two parallel rocks and creates fascinating scenery.

The area around the falls is dense with fir forests and rolling hills, allowing you to find complete serenity amidst its untouched beauty.

How Do You Get to Ushba Waterfall?

In winter, everything is covered with snow and the place is nearly inaccessible. In the summer, however, you can walk to the base of the waterfall, which is 3 kilometers away from the paved road.

By covering 3 additional kilometers, you can hike up to the top of the waterfall, though, the trail is relatively difficult and follows the ascent all the way up. Another obstacle that hikers will encounter on the trail is a river crossing, but after it, the trail gets easier. When you do get to the top of the waterfall, an exceptional sight will spread out before your eyes: a view of Svaneti with its mysterious medieval towers and natural beauty that is sure to exceed even the highest of your expectations.
