Where is Prometheus Cave Located?

Prometheus Cave is located in the village of Kumistavi in Tskaltubo municipality, Imereti Region. Overall, there are 22 halls of different sizes inside the cave. Visitors can only enter six of them: "Hall of Argonauts," "Colchis Hall," "Hall of Medea," "Hall of Love," "Hall of Prometheus" and "Hall of Georgia" (or "Hall of Iberia"). The length of the tourist trail here is 1,400 meters.

The cave is about 60-70 million years old and is exceptionally beautiful. The intricate stalactites and stalagmites are true natural masterpieces created by nature, and taking just one look leaves an indelible impression on the visitor. At the end of the trail, you can take a boat tour on the underground river leading out of the cave.

The average air temperature is 14 degrees.
