David Kakabadze Fine Art Gallery

Georgia has given the world many outstanding artists, and Niko Pirosmani is one of them. His painting "A Georgian woman with a tambourine" was sold at Sotheby's for £2,230,000. You can see the works of Pirosmani and many other famous Georgian artists in the David Kakabadze Fine Arts Gallery, located in the administrative center of Imereti, Kutaisi, at Shota Rustaveli Street 8.

The gallery opened in 1976 and is now home to a collection of 2838 works of art. In addition to canvases by Niko Pirosmani, David Kakabadze, Elene Akhvlediani, Lado Gudiashvili, Gigo Gabashvili, and others, you’ll also find works of graphic, sculptural, and applied arts.

The gallery bears the name of the distinguished artist David Kakabadze, who has been numbered among the most spectacular artists, researchers, and scientists to have worked in both Georgia and France.
