The gallery opened in 1976 and is now home to a collection of 2838 works of art. In addition to canvases by Niko Pirosmani, David Kakabadze, Elene Akhvlediani, Lado Gudiashvili, Gigo Gabashvili, and others, you’ll also find works of graphic, sculptural, and applied arts.
The gallery bears the name of the distinguished artist David Kakabadze, who has been numbered among the most spectacular artists, researchers, and scientists to have worked in both Georgia and France.
