Home to more than 9,000 objects ranging from the early Bronze Age up to the late Middle Ages, the Dusheti Local Museum aims to bring ancient history to life before your very eyes.

The collection includes materials covering a broad range of eras and styles, including fabric samples, folk clothes and accessories of the inhabitants of mountainous Eastern Georgia; carpets of the 19th century; ceramic dishes; tools and military weapons dating back to the 8th century BCЕ; silver belts and daggers of the early 20th century.
The museum was founded in 1949, and since 2008 it has also serves as the cultural and educational centre of the Dusheti Municipality.
