Your path to the Instra Waterfall begins in the village of Chkvaleri. This circular path is 7,5 km long and takes about 2-3 hours to complete. The trail first follows the dirt road and then goes through a forested valley, with plenty of signage to ensure you don’t get lost. The path itself is easy to walk until the final one hundred meters, when a steep slope with large boulders to clamber over acts as the last barrier between you and your destination.
Intsra is a 26 meter tall spectacular waterfall, surrounded by greenery and moss-covered vertical rocks.
Beneath the towering falls is a pool of turquoise water which is a popular swimming spot among locals.
Drinking water is brought up from a cave near the waterfall and pumped through pipes which are laid out along the entire length of the path.
