What Does Kakhidze Music Center Offer to Music Lovers?

There is never a dull day at the Kakhidze Music Centre, which plays host to multiple symphonic concerts throughout the year, as well as two exceptional music festivals.

The major one amongst these is the Jansugh Kakhidze International Musical Festival, dedicated to fostering a creative partnership between the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra and the stars of world jazz and popular music. Over the years, a number of world-class artists have graced the festival’s stages, including the multiple Grammy winner, Brazilian musician Ivan Lins and his band, the American singer Patti Austin, the famous jazz pianist Bob James and his trio (USA), the famous vocal ensemble from Sweden called The Real Group, the Janoska Ensemble of virtuoso instrumentalists from Austria, the genius jazz band New York Voices from the USA, and many more.

The second festival partially held at the centre is the International Autumn Tbilisi Festival, which combines elements of classical musical, folklore, and jazz.

Kakhidze himself has performed on the stages of such illustrious locales as the London Festival Suite, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, La Scala in Milan, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Lincoln Center in New York, the Sydney Opera House, and the Bunkamura in Tokyo.

You’ll find the Kakhidze Music Centre at David Aghmashenebeli Avenue 123-125, in Tbilisi.
