Shavra is located on the right bank of the Shareula River, 1,100 meters above sea level. Beautiful meadows lie just outside the village just 2 kilometers away from the Kvirila waterfall.
Set up your tent in the meadows to easily access the waterfall. In summer, you can drive closer to the waterfall with any kind of vehicle over the gravel road.
The Kvirila waterfall falls from 7 meters high directly into the Shareula River, which joins the Kvirila River first, and then becomes a part of the large Rioni River. The water is so clear that you can count stones at the bottom. The water must be ice cold, but if you dare, go for a polar plunge!
The Kvirila waterfall is equally beautiful during the winter season. Once the temperature drops, the waterfall transforms into one, large icicle.
