In 1937, when the construction of the recreation area around the lake began, approximately 1,400 plants were planted to make the environment greener. Today, a 3-kilometer-long bike and pedestrian path circles around the lake, along with a sports training space and children’s playground on the beach.
Visit some cafes and restaurants for a bite by the lake and rent bicycles, boats, water bikes, etc. Summer is the most crowded because it is cool, yet sunny, so take a dip in the 28 °C water.
There are also thermal springs around the lake, and a sulfur bath recently opened in the same area. The lake is surrounded by a coniferous forest on one side where you can enjoy a picnic. If you like fishing, cast a line and try to catch some fish, such as seabream and European perch.
