Sataplia Cave is located on Sataplia Mountain in the village of Banoja, Imereti Region.
The cave is reachable using any type of vehicle.
The cave was opened to the public in 1935. It is part of a protected area and includes a visitors’ center, an exhibition hall, panoramic glass, cafes, souvenir shops, and marked trails.
The length of the cave is up to 300 meters and can be seen in its entirety in approximately one hour.
The average air temperature inside the cave is 14 degrees.
This natural reserve is reasonably complex, full of various geological, paleontological, speleological, zoological, and botanical features. You can also see famous dinosaur footprints and relish beautiful views of Kutaisi from here.
