Tabatskuri Lake is located in Samtskhe-Javakheti Region, at the border of Borjomi and Akhalkalaki municipalities. The lake lies on the northern side of Samsari Ridge, 1991 meters above the sea level. It is fed by underground snow and rain, and includes several bays and islands. The lake is surrounded by small volcanic mountains, while on its banks there are beautiful settlements as well.
The route starts from Bakuriani, a popular ski resort located in Borjomi municipality, 1700 meters above the sea level. The distance between Borjomi and Bakuriani is 30 km, with Tabatskuri a further 27 km from Bakuriani.
On the way from Bakuriani to Tabatskuri, the views are sensational with white alpine fields and mountains. The most outstanding sight on the route is the frozen Tabatskuri Lake which you can navigate your way round before turning back and tasting the extraordinary dishes of Samtskhe-Javakheti region on the way.

The number of snowmobiles required depends on the number of people. Each snowmobile can be used by one or two people. The snowmobiles are arranged in line, according to the route agreed in advance.
