Skiing in Goderdzi

Goderdzi ski resort is situated on the Goderdzi Pass in Khulo municipality in the Ajara region, and offers many opportunities for winter activities. Goderdzi Pass is located at an altitude of 2,025 meters above sea level, and reaching the pass is an adventure in its own right. It is possible to get to the resort from Batumi (109 km) and from Tbilisi via Zarzma (252 km). However, the latter route is subject to substantial snowdrift and can often only be navigated by snow plow.

Skiing for the Experienced

Skiing at Goderdzi resort is suitable for beginners, intermediate, and experienced skiers.. There are 200-meter tracks ideal for beginners and amateurs to learn skiing. 

Goderdzi – For Off-piste Skiers

Goderdzi also offers experienced skiers the opportunity to ski off-piste, passing by the beautiful snow-covered houses. 

Infrastructure  

There are two cableways operating on Goderdzi: an 8-seater gondola, and a 6-seater chair lift. Here, as well as in other mountain-ski resorts of Georgia, a single ticket system is in effect where one multi-day ticket gives you access to the cableways of Goderdzi, Mestia, village Gudauri, and Bakuriani village.

There are hotels, cottages, fast food facilities, and a restaurant at Goderdzi, meanwhile there are guesthouses in the village of Danisparauli 3 km away.

Skiing on Goderdzi is delightful, being situated in an alpine zone with dense coniferous forests and quaint villages, as well as wonderful landscapes.

The ski season on Goderdzi lasts from December 1 to April 15.
